Tip1: Operating system and other software(s)
OS is the life support system of any computer. Android version 4.0.X + Ice cream Sandwich is the one which is preferred these days .Honeycomb is the other one preferred. It is always a good idea to choose the latest versions as the apps and other software(s) are upgraded almost daily for the latest versions of OS. So if you want to face least app and functionality issues always choose the latest version of the operating system.
Tip2: Hardware
Processor, storage capacity, RAM, Camera, Battery, USB ports belongs to hardware configurations. If OS is the life support system then these configurations actually forms the life and hence are the most important things to be considered before you buy a tablet or any computer. Here are some threshold values which you can compare;
Try to get processor which has more than 800 GHz of potential. Minimum of 2GB of internal memory will be needed if you want to watch movies or play games on your tablet. If you are interested in using your device online and data is heavy like gaming then make sure RAM of your tablet has to be more than 512MB. If you are interested in clicking pictures using your tablets then the camera with more than 3 Megapixels will be smart choice. Battery life, standby time, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth etc. are some of the other features which should be considered before buying.
Tip3: Display, shape and size
Screen resolution, screen size are very important in situations when the primary reason to buy a tablet is watching videos or stuff like that. Resolution above 1024X600 is considered good. Display screen size should be sufficient and the landscape mode would be preferred if you want to play games on your tablet.
Tip4: Cost and required functionality
Of course we all want the best but again we need to take care of our pockets too. Every feature/hardware mentioned above comes in low to high ranges but what suits you best as per your pocket is an important decision. So prioritize the expectations and then as per cost a combination of adjusted features will give you the best solution.
